With so many religions available why did you pick Christianity and how do you know that you've made the right choice? Are you the religion you are because most people accept the same religion as their parents?

actuaily, i love history and i never seen any contadition of facts only thery. so your going to have-to be more spisific. about science and biology i pre-read your qestions and i'm waitting to get to the evolution question to coment on it.

Why doesn't prayer work, when the Bible promises in John 14:14 for example, that it will? In fact, why pray at all? If it changes God's mind then he is not sovereign. If it does not change God's mind then it's superfluous and a waste of time.

jeremiah 29:13. if you ask something of God you are not changeing his mind, it is alredy his will that you have it but he wants you to seek him out. have you never heard that he is a jelus God?

Hell isn't something you wish on even hitler. man is not capible of such hatered. i know that hitler was "a hateful man" but if he could talk to us right now he would say dont come to this place! theres no way out! if he cried out to jesus and was sinsear, then yes. and for the recrd hitler was an atheast. why elts do you think he tried to kill of all the less evolved people?

hindus, buddhists, and muslem, they deny Jesus and say "the christians are wrong" but you dont persicut them only Jesus, the Bible sed that would happen. that is more prouf that Jesus is the real God. but back to the question. yes christians sin not that its ok. but we are under grace. do you know what grace is? it is not ok to sin, but we do make mistakes. if someone says that they know God and they sin like theres nothing wrong with it they are ether lieing or they are deceved.

Evolution is proven fact and it continues to be proven beyond any doubt in every related field of science and is much more reasonable than the creation account found in the Bible. Christianity stands or falls on the validity of the Old Testament teachings about the creation and nature of Man.
Evolution and related sciences prove that there was no Garden of Eden, no Adam and Eve, Man did not Fall and does not need a savior. As the biblical Creation account is wrong and as there was no reason for mankind to require 'saving' why are you still a Christian?

evolution is not fact. if you look at the lineup of skulls you will see that all of them from the nose to the mouth it curves outwerd anthen it curves inwerd at the last two skulls. that is not a small chang there should be more skulls in the lineup to explane it, but they dont have any. infact the famus lucy skelition is less then a third of a hole skelition, and its there most complet skelition out of all of them! how can any one beleave in evolution? but wate, theres more. NASA dicoverd that ALL of the eliments in the human body is found in the soil but not in the sea.

Why does the Christian church always trail behind rather than lead in social reforms? Take for example the demise of feudalism and the rise of capitalism, the acceptance of the scientific method and critical thinking, the abolition of slavery, women's suffrage, civil rights and the abolition of slavery. And why does the church dishonestly claim leadership in these reforms after the fact?

i know over 80% of the USA says that they are christians but only 20% of the USA says that they belive in the bible 100%. not every one who says that they are a christian is one, infact we are acuily the minority. 1 corinthians 12:13 galatians 3:26-29. If your God exists, are we being unreasonable to suppose that there would be at least one irrefutable proof of His existence? Can it be possible that believers, who have the advantage of an indwelling Holy Spirit with an "infinite mind," can be stumped by "finite minds" of unbelievers working within the confining limitations of reason?

what do you do, walk away from every argument and nomater what happins you say "I won the dibate"? or do you only get your info from your friends? i would like one irrefutable proof of evolution. but the only thing you have is lucy. and there is proof of God, but your not going to get a magic trick. google any christian argument and you will find that the scientist are now saying that the mountins were formed instintly. i'm not jokeing, they found things inside all mountins that only exist when the rock is melted, that means that the hole mountin would have had to be cooled of so fast that they could not ecape. if the hole earth was coverd with ice it still wouldn't be enuf.

Why was Jesus so similar to the other saviors of mythology? Do you believe in any of the other virgin births, resurrection and savior myths recorded in other ancient literature? How is it that so many Christian rituals and ceremonies, such as baptism, eating the body and drinking the blood of their gods,etc. have been adopted from older pagan religions?
Why were the defining doctrines of Christianity assimilated from pagan cults? Why is Christmas, Easter, Lent, rogation days, and others, derived from pagan holidays. Didn't Christianity have any legitimate calendar of commemorations of its own?

similar? there was over 400 scripcers on the comeing savior in the old testament. in all the worlds religions there is not even one thing writen about any other savior befor they came, they just showed up and sed "hey, im your savior". baptism, the washing away of your sins was never used by any one befor john the baptist. other people eat flesh and drank blood but not of there own god. you sed "etc" but that the only two "rituals" we do to honer ower God.

Why can't the six accounts of the resurrection be reconciled? Paul in Corinthians 15:14 says that without the resurrection, the Christian faith is in vain. Why are the biblical accounts contradictory and how could they possibly disagree on an event that is vitally important to the Christian faith?

six accounts? last time i checked there was only four gospls. in 1 corinthians 15:14 it says the preaching would be in vain, he didn't say faith. get your facts right. preaching, faith, their is a difrens. and if you can't name one "contradiction" then i dont have anything to defend.

Why are women treated as chattel and inferior to men throughout the Bible? For example Lot, who was called righteous in 2 Peter 2:17, giving his daughters to be abused by the men of Sodom ~ Genesis 19:8?

lot was called righteous becouse he was forgiven. women are treated badly by men in some parts of the Bible but God always treated them with love. most of the time the women have a relationship with God when the men dont. but there are alot of storys of women cheating on their men. wich is hertbreaking. women know how to abuse men to. so yes we are all gilty and need forgivnes.

I didn't make the choice or pick it, I denied till I was 18, then Jesus Christ sought me, reached down from heaven and changed my life. I am a christ follower today because I have had a face to face encounter with God.

The bible has not been disproved in the fields of history, science and biology. Infact many archaelogical discoveries back it up, and the bible contains a lot of scientific facts as well. If you however still stick to the position that it is unreliable then prove so by making a few points as to what makes you think it is unreliable.

First of prayer is not a vending machine, you don't put in a coin and get what you want, if you think God is your "do it for me buddy" then you can continue to deny Him. Second of all God has everything planned out, anything that happens according to His will. His will might be for you to ask for something but if you don't ask he might not give it.

If he believed Jesus Christ was God in flesh and that he died for our sins on the cross.

All other religions are in error because they claim other paths to God, Jesus said He is the only way. I believe Jesus who proved Himself to be God in flesh and therefore I don't see any errors, but by all means point out any supposed errors if you can. Also I am not religious and I don't follow religion, I have a relationship with God.

Because the church is not perfect and to blame the christian church as a whole for the actions of a particular number of churches is misleading.

I've never seen rational arguements for God being refuted successfully, all I see is people ignoring or fumbling upon rational arguements when they are given to them. Holy spirit filled believers have never been stumped by "finite minds" as a whole. Certain people with lack of knowledge or biblical foundation can be pulled away from their faith in God but not me. If a "finite mind" stumps me someday I will be sure to evaluate it and deny God if thats what seems rational.

There is no proof that christians derived theology from other pagan beliefs or mytholigies, yes there are similarities but there is no peeof that christianity borrowed from these mythologies. Unless you can give reasons or sources which would prove so. And what if these mythologies were derived from Judaism and the old testament. Most of christianities basics were in the old testament.

Can you show how these six accounts are different or contradictory?

every church and religion has politics and red tape,and some are not always honest, on the other hand, individuals, who are of faith have the right , before, during and after the fact. eg 'William Wilberforce'(politician who presented the bill to abolish slavery in Britain)and won after many years of struggle in parliament.

it doen'nt matter what days are similar or the same as pagan ritual, the point is that they are a celabration of what we believe, i think you need to read more of your history about King James and so forth, about different implementations prescibed at the time, that are still to this day in place and celebrated.don't worry about it , whatever is in your heart, that's what counts.

look for the most simplest account, you'll find that one to be the truth!

first i would ask what has been proved as unreliable?

there is a difference between praying for wants and needs he doesn't always give you what you want but gives you what you need.

It has been proven that adolf hitler was very ANTI-catholic.

we must grow in our faith through seeking gods wisdom part of that is trying to understand all aspects including the parts that seem flawed in religion and to say that all of us dismiss these things is in itself a flawed argument

Oh the evolution argument again well here, God and evolution both are unprovable 100%. Both are based on fundemantal beleifs.

lot new the importance of the angels and didn't wan the people of sodom to attack them, was it right for him to do that well that all depends on the time period you use to judge those actions. Lot was a god fearing person who loved god more than his own self. He feared more of the wrath of god than he did of the judgement of us. Women also played major roles through the bible.

Trust me I did not pick Christianity. My parents didn't believe much of anything. but drank, fornicated, blasphemed etc.. and so I followed in their footsteps. But I could Imagine being 90 years old and being a liar, fornicator, aldulterer, thief, blasphemer, murderer (hater)in my heart covered-up by 90-year old skin. As if the fact that I haven't fornicated would erase the fact that I'm a fornicator. Or the fact that I'v stolen (no matter the value or when I stole [because time doesn't erase the fact that commited the crime] confirms the fact that I am a thief. How many murders does it take to make a murderer? You might say that these attributes make us human? But I thought we were apes? Which one is it? Well whether I'm 15 or 90 as long as I have knowledge of sin and right and wrong and my conscience bears witness against on that matter, I am guilty. My guilty butt will go to jail at 90 for a rape I committed on a teenager when I was 15. This h! as nothing to do with religion but everything to do with Jesus Christ.

Prayer is communication. Not a yes to all your questions wants, so-called needs, and desires. Trust if you truly pray to God He will reveal things about you you thought were never there. He's not under your obligation. But you are under his. His wrath abides over you to be unleashed on the day of your judgement. God will know whether he truly repented with all his heart and put his faith in Jesus. Although he would enter eternity forgiven of his debt because he confessed his guilt, repented, accepted the sacrifice of Jesus as a propiation of his sin, if he were to continue to live he would still have to be judged on earth. The sentence more likely being death. However his soul is free of debt because he has reconciled to God and will pass on to eternal life. Jesus made that way for him and he took. Inspite of his execution on earth. Same goes for you. How would God know that he truly repented? God not only knows and discern the motives and intent for which you repented but Hitler's part is to put all his faith in Jesus.

It is not Called the fact of Evolution but the Theory of Evolution. You are the perfect evidence that sin exist and is alive and kicking in you. You honor another book written by another man who was only studying what was already there. Your believe that the earth which is a creation made us. You are the poster child of the Book of Romans. How can you refute and win the refutal over someone you can't see? You could refute all you want. You disbelief does not make not real or for that matter hell. Example your work all week with faith in a paycheck at the end of the week. If you don't see the check on Monday should that stop you from coming in to work on Monday? Does not seeing that paycheck make the paycheck not effective on Friday?

It is Peter 2:7 If you read in the verse Lot became an oppressed man. And verse 8 confirms that his righteousness was being tormented by what he saw and heard because he dwelled among them. Now Lot in his desperation, tried to create a way out of temptation for these men by offering his daughters so that they would not commit and abomination. But instead they rejected the opportunity of a way out of temptation for evidence to one shred of evidence of remorse or conviction and instead asked for men . 1 cor 10:13 (Please read)
